Junyang (Jim) Li is a music producer specializing in film and pop music production, with his works amassing over 2.7 million streams. He shares his self-produced songs and compositions on platforms like NetEase Music and Spotify, connecting with audiences worldwide.

            Junyang’s passion for music began in elementary school. Proficient in keyboard, vocals, guitar, and music arrangement, he formed his first pop band, The Branches, in high school, where he served as the lead vocalist and guitarist. This pivotal experience inspired his decision to pursue a career in music. In his final year of high school, Junyang returned to Beijing, China, to focus on music composition and prepare his portfolio for college applications.

            Since 2018, he has honed his skills in keyboard performance and music arrangement at Shanghai Knote Music Institution and NiuBan Music Institution. As a musician, Junyang aims to express his thoughts and emotions through his work, hoping to inspire energy and bring inner peace to listeners.

            Beyond film and pop music, Junyang is passionate about exploring diverse musical styles. His portfolio includes ambient music for the art exhibition The Interconnections in Baltimore, rock compositions for Japanese anime rescores, and game music rescores for titles like DOOM and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. In his free time, he experiments with self-produced tracks in EDM and hip-hop, reflecting his belief that music is a limitless journey, with each genre representing a unique cultural depth.

            Junyang earned his Bachelor of Music in Music for New Media from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in 2024. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Film Scoring at the Eastman School of Music. His academic journey has provided extensive experience in film and game music composition, collaboration with orchestral ensembles like the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, and participation in professional recording sessions at world-class studios.
